Misty Fitch
Founder Equipped with Purpose

Hey, Friend! I’m Misty, and I am so excited you’re here.

I’m an author, teacher, pastoral care counselor, and founder of Equipped with Purpose Ministry where we have a mission to equip you to walk confidently in your purpose.

Did you know you have a purpose? Did you know God has already equipped you with everything you need to live it out? I want to help you discover how to use the tools God has already given you.

Matthew 28:19 says we are to go out and make disciples of all the nations. Equipped with Purpose exists to live this out by making disciples who are equipped to make more disciples.

My mission is to get people in the Word. God’s Word was never meant to be difficult to read, so I’m here to help you find the tools you need to Read the Bible with Purpose. As our only offensive weapon in the full armor we have, we need to read, understand, connect with, and be able to communicate about what Scripture says. This is our primary step in making disciples.

My favorite thing is bringing the Word to you. I would love to speak at your next conference, retreat, event, or Bible study kick off! Contact me today for your next event.

You were created on purpose, with purpose, and for a purpose.

Matt Fitch
Discipleship, Mentorship, and Group Leader

Hi, I’m Matt, and I have served in men’s, married, youth, and blended family ministry for over 10 years.

I have a desire to help men navigate through the stresses of life. I understand the weight men carry when it comes to work, finances, and family. My hope is to equip you with knowing how to face these challenges head on with confidence and courage and to understand you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Amber Birdwell
Prayer Team Lead, Biblical Coach, and Admin Assistant

I am a wife, mom of two littles, and a people-loving HR professional who brings warmth and wisdom to every conversation. I gave my life to Jesus at 16 and have spent years in ministry school and serving in nearly every area of the church—including my current favorite : volunteering in the toddler Sunday School class!

I am passionate about creating safe, judgment-free spaces where people can process their stories, ask the hard questions, and experience the healing heart of God. Having walked through both childhood trauma and church hurt myself, I know how difficult—but beautiful—the healing journey can be. I especially love coming alongside others who are navigating similar experiences or serving in ministry and longing to build a healthier church culture.

When I’m not chasing around the littles, you’ll find me with my nose in a book, playing the piano, or laughing hard with friends and family. I’m honored to be a part of Equipped With Purpose and to remind people that they are seen, known, and deeply loved.

Intercessory Prayer Team

We have a team of people who are committed to praying regularly over participants of our events and groups. At Equipped with Purpose, we understand Satan is very real and wages a very real spiritual battle against us. Paul tells us in Ephesians 6 that we are to put on our FULL ARMOR to fight this battle.

Verse 18 says, “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.”

This team will be persistently praying for YOU as you’re growing in your walk with the Lord.

Accountability and Leadership

Equipped with Purpose is covered under an Advisory Board that meets monthly as well as a Board of Directors that meets quarterly. These members are solely voluntary and help keep all decisions aligned with the purpose and mission of the organization.

  1. I know your ministry is for young women, but reading your blogs tell me it will help young men as well, God is doing wonderful things threw you.

  2. I am not a young girl anymore but I can relate to the broken princess in sooooo many ways. Although I have accepted Christ in my life I often struggle with the things of my past hat haunt me…because I still feel unworthy of such love. Your blog touched my heart today…I feel like it was written for ME to read. God is doing amazing work thru you….God bless you

    • Well, your words touched my heart. I’m so glad it is speaking to you. I think we all feel unworthy of such love, and that’s what makes God so amazing. He sees us as completely worthy of everything he’s done, and he would do it all again if he had to. Thank you for your comment.

  3. MIsty your words really touched my heart I think god is really using you to speak to others keep up the good work!

  4. Hi Misty!
I plan to order your devotional as a resource.
My team and I are headed to the Dominican
Republic early this summer to minister at several homes for orphaned girls, many of whom were rescued from lives on the streets of Santo Domingo that included sexual abuse.
We have been asked to offer teachings and activities related to True Beauty.
Do you have other insight or resources to help
    equip us?
    Thank you!

    • Thank you for using my book to help those girls see their worth! Ish Payne is over a ministry called Compassion to Act, which focuses on human trafficking, and they have a few resources. They’re website is http://restoringhearts.net/ I think you might find some great ideas there. I’ll add more if any come to mind.

  5. Misty,

  6. Misty,

I read your blog post about being a tough teacher, but still compassionate. Unfortunately, not everyone appreciates “tough love”. I hope you still have the fire within you!
