Welcome to the Relaunch

Well, hello there! It’s been a long time since I’ve been here, and so much has changed. In my last blogging days, I was probably in the middle of what I consider to be my darkest days. You may have noticed topics and writing had changed drastically. I was writing from my own pain and not from what the Holy Spirit was leading me to write.

When I say dark, it was dark, y’all.

I stopped writing. I stopped spending time with God. I stopped spending time with people. I practically stopped caring. Even when I look back on it, all I see is darkness.

Don’t you know God will never leave us in the darkness?

As I’ve been preparing to launch my first Bible study, Reading the Bible with Purpose: the Book of James, I’ve been taking a look back at the person I became during those dark days, the person I was before them, and the person I am now.

It occurred to me – I need a relaunch.

Have you ever felt like you need a personal relaunch to let the world know you aren’t what you used to be, and you’re now the best version of yourself?

Maybe you made some mistakes in your past. Maybe you have lived through your own dark days. Maybe the Holy Spirit has grabbed hold of you, and you just can’t wait to shout to the world what all he has done!

Do you need a relaunch?

The Cambridge dictionary defines relaunch as “the act of introducing something again as though it were something new.”

It’s time for a relaunch!

Let me begin by introducing myself to you.

My name is Misty Fitch. I’m an author and speaker. My family consists of my husband, Matt, our 4 kiddos, and 3 dogs. We live in a quiet little community in a small town in Texas. With us, you get real. It’s not perfect because we aren’t perfect, but good gosh, somedays I feel like things could never be more perfect because God has blessed us in ways we couldn’t have even imagined.

My writing isn’t the same as it used to be because I felt like I had to present myself in a certain, almost robotic, way. God definitely used me to write in the past, but it was carefully wrapped in a neat little unreachable package with a perfect little bow on top.

Can you imagine what’s to come with the truth of God’s word handed to you in the realness of life? I’m coming to you now with my real, relatable, and very messy self.

I’m a mess. That’s why I need Christ.

All those times I presented myself to you while excluding the mess, I wasn’t allowing you to see who God really is. Instead, I presented a façade that many of you could never relate to, and it was full of pride. We all need Christ in our lives. If our lives are so perfect, we never would need Christ.

It’s time to get real with each other.

God has done a number in me over these past few years, and it would all be in vain if I didn’t use it to share with you the goodness, grace, mercy, forgiveness, healing, truth, and freedom that comes only from him.

As I relaunch myself and this ministry, I welcome and encourage you to join me. This is going to be a journey full of twists, turns, heartache, love, redemption, joy, and the ability to fully relaunch into the purpose and calling God has placed on my life.
